Stony Hill Christian Preschool is an outreach ministry of the Church at Stony Hill, a non-denominational Christian church. We serve potty-trained children ages three and four, as well as young five year-olds.
We recognize that each child has unique talents, learning styles and personalities. Our highly-qualified teachers and staff are committed to working within each child's comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional, spiritual, and educational results.
Educational Programs
Three's Program (Age 3-4) Our three year olds are offered a variety of opportunities to explore their world through play. Gross motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play. Their days are filled with music, art, dance, story and Bible time, Spanish and more.
Four's Program (Ages 4-5) Although it may seem like fun and games to preschoolers, the curriculum we follow is packed with educational elements. Games abound that teach pre-reading skills like phonemic awareness and letter and sound recognition; basic math concepts; and hands-on science exploration. We are preparing for kindergarten, but continue our Spanish, music and movement, Bible study and more!
Our preschool classes run on the Highland Local School district calendar. When Highland schools are closed for holidays, winter and spring break, teacher development days, or snow days, we are closed as well. Our classes start in September and end with an all-school picnic in May. |

Notes: We are closed all major holidays. We operate on the Highland School District calendar and are closed when the local schools are closed. If weather is severe, please call ahead to check if we are open, or check your local television stations. We will post a recorded message in advance whenever possible. We encourage parental involvement. Please speak with your child's teacher to arrange visits and to volunteer in the classroom. Children should be dressed for the day's activities when they arrive. We require your child to keep a spare change of clothes at the school in case of accidents or spills. All clothing and other items sent to school should be labeled with your child's name and placed in their cubby. Classes are kept to a low student-teacher ratio and often fill up quickly. Your spot will be reserved upon payment of the registration fee. Please Contact Shannon Lee Blower: (330) 606-2082 |
