Shannon Blower has pastored Church at Stony Hill for 23 years. He began his ministry with the church in 1989 when it was still called The Peoples Baptist Church. A handful of families extended a call to him and his family, and their journey together began.
Pastor Shannon values education and community involvement. He has earned degrees in Pastoral Theology, Human Services and Family Therapy, and Christian Leadership. Currently, he is enrolled in a D.Min. program that emphasises ministry in a postmodern context. Shannon is a graduate of Leadership Medina and sits on the Medina Hospital Ethics Committee. He has worked with foster children, collaborated with Jobs and Family Services, and has raised funds for various local and global needs.
Shannon has a ministry style that is faithful to the tenets of historical Christianity, while remaining open to the cultural shifts of our generation. As such, his teaching and preaching appeals to a diverse demographic. Perhaps his greatest desire is to help facilitate people’s faith toward God.
